PHH Europe is one of the foremost vehicle management and leasing services in the UK. A data warehouse containing historical information on all aspects of vehicle management was constructed from data extracted from the mainframe and stored in a Sybase database on Sun Solaris using CQCS as the reporting tool. Because of his experience using the tools PHH had acquired, Mr Neville was hired as a consultant to provide technical support, direction and end-user education.
Mr Neville gave assistance and recommendation on data structure / techniques; Troubleshooting and assisting Sybase DBAs (who were cross-training from mainframe). Due to his long-standing relationship with the software vendors, Mr Neville managed the 4GL development environment liasing with the vendors - Cyberscience, making recommendations, troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arose.
